Hello Lovelies! I’m not sure if this was just a Canadian thing or perhaps just something the kids at Harold Napper Elementary School made up, but when I was little there was always a big to-do made about one’s Golden Birthday. You see, the Golden Birthday was the birthday when you turned the same age as your birth date. So those kids turning 8 on February 8th or 7 on July 7th (<–that should be like a Platinum birthday) would get extra special treats and be that much more jubilant about their special day. It was a lot of fun, except for the fact that I was born on March 27th. I would have to wait some good long years for my extra special, sprinkles on top Golden Birthday.
But guess what y’all? It’s here! On Sunday, March 27th I will triumphantly turn 27!
*cue the Golden confetti*
